About me
Born in Ontario to a Finnish mother and American father, my relationship with food began in the kitchen—cooking alongside my mother and grandmother and learning traditions from both sides of my family. These early experiences shaped my understanding of how food can nourish the body and influence how we feel, live, and connect.
I’m a Registered Dietitian with a background in Nutrition and Food Science, and a Master’s degree in Gastronomy from the University of Gastronomic Sciences in Italy. My work bridges science, culture, and lived experience—supporting individuals and communities in building a more nourishing and sustainable approach to food. I’ve held leadership roles in women’s health and lactation in California, and now work across clinical nutrition, community health, and food design.
Through my private consulting practice, Heal Co., I offer nutrition counselling, menu and food experience design, and collaborative projects that bring people together through food. My approach is both evidence-based and holistic—grounded in nutrition science while also recognizing the importance of mindset, environment, culture, and daily rhythms in shaping how we eat.
I believe food is more than fuel—it’s one of the most consistent ways we care for ourselves. Rather than focusing on restriction, I support clients in building a more intuitive, sustainable, and supportive relationship with food. When appropriate, I integrate mindfulness and movement to help people reconnect with their bodies and create lasting, meaningful change.
